welp, my mic broke...
yep.
I need to buy a new one that is around $200 or less.
If you guys can find me a new microphone to buy you will get 1 giant hug.
Thanks and bye.
As a user that has had experience with Blue microphones (Blue Yeti & Blue Snowball) and now getting an XLR setup, the XLR setup is in my opinion worth better.
My personal setup for both Twitch and YouTube in a room covered with wooden plank flooring (I mention this as sound travels through reflection, like echoes) is as follows:
MXL770: , contains mic and shockmount.
Focusrite Scarlett Solo:
XLR cable:
$68+$9+99=$176
Onto why I mentioned the wooden flooring, I have quite a medium sized bedroom with wooden flooring installed. Sound bounces off the wooden flooring and therefore creates echo/reverb. I mention this is because even though I have wooden flooring, through XLR sound quality I have NONE of that. XLR is always the best way to go over USB.
EDIT: For some reason MC-Market forum automatically puts it to Amazon media. So I'll list these items out for what they are exactly:
1. Marshall MXL770 Cardoid COndensor Microphone
2. Focusrite Scarlett Solo
3. Stagg 3M XML Male to Female
Now I can't recommend the blue yeti because It doesn't sound better enough for the price increase from the snowball. What I can recommend is the blue snowball or the Audiotechnica AT2020. If you got the AT2020 then you would need a amp or something. The scarlet works.
