Basically, my dumbass tried to send someone $15 and I sent then $155 (don't ask how). Since they had no intentions on refunding me since he was a scumbag and paypal denied the claim, I went to my bank. My bank attempted to put a "stop payment" on the transaction and it didn't work. Yesterday, my mom put a claim through and then my paypal ended up like this today https://gyazo.com/9917bd8aad9a5e8477fcf49b8e68be2d (someone paid me $10).

Long story short, my card nor bank works with paypal or with anything now and I have no clue what to do. Can someone that charged back through their bank before please give me advice. Thanks.

Okay, what I did when I sent someone 1,000 instead of 100 was to call my bank, and tell them it was a complete mistake and that there were too many 0s.

I provided them proof of this and they contacted PayPal, and got my money back[DOUBLEPOST=1586412867][/DOUBLEPOST]Luckily it was through G&S, but still

Well, 99% chance you won't get it back (at least from my experience). I always send G&S, and if they don't want it to via G&S they can leave and not do the transaction.

I was purchasing and discord advertisement. Almost no one (including myself) accepts g&s. I specifically state in my TOS that I cannot accept g&s to prevent something like this happening when someone charges back since I am only 16 and my paypal will get locked if someone puts in a claim.

Could tell them the truth, but edit it in a way that favors you. (it's fraud, but it's to get your own money back so..)

An example of this would be like, "I was trying to send my (family member, friend, etc.) $15 to help out for a birthday present. I accidentally press the five one too many times, and my (family member) doesn't want to send me my money back despite me telling them what happened. I would like my money back please, (optional) I will send them the correct amount afterwards, or you could remove only $140 instead of $155. Thank you!"

I've never dealt with Paypal, but I heard their staff are horrible and lying to them is the only way to get your money back.

If all else fails, connect to your Paypal on a VPN and say you're on vacation and someone in your house must've opened your Paypal and sent themselves money.

Good luck, and keep me updated.

If all fails with my bank tomorrow, I will hop on a VPN and send an alt PayPal account $500 and say that I want to report all transactions from the last 3-4 days as unauthorized. Thanks for the help tho. Lol

That sounds like a horrible idea, but nevertheless, good luck.

Oh also, pray no staff sees that message, that's considered fraud/a scam.

Yea that doesn't sound like too good of an idea. It might even get the $500 locked. Best bet is to call saying that your PC has been remotely accessed. Say something along the lines of you saw your cursor moving and you thought it was suspicious so you shut down your PC, and when you turned it on the Paypal transaction popped up.

Bank: Wells Fargo

Sidenote: I probably won’t do that but it’s just an idea. I’m seriously just so pissed off that this is happening.

fr bro thats so peak, always been scared of that. closest ive ever come is sending in wrong currency, uk gbp is a bit more valuable than usd (0.8 pounds is 1usd) and nearly sent a 100 pounds to someone (130 usd at the time) so would have lost like 30% of the value lol.

Your best bet is to cut your losses and deal with only trustworthy people. I have never heard of someone actually being able to get their money back from F&F. Next time if it is a business deal only send as g&s.

Threaten to leave the bank if they don't want to help you.
I’m 16 and my account is considered a “teen“ account. They will laugh if I threaten to leave. I’m willing to tell my mom to do that though.[DOUBLEPOST=1586478442][/DOUBLEPOST]

That’s the issue. This was for a discord advertisement. No one that sells discord ads accept g&s (Including me). I hope I will get my money back but at this point it isn’t even the biggest deal as for I have made it back.

You have 46 rep people should be accepting g&s from you. If they won't take it tell them to f off.

A little off-topic but I would not do this, you can be banned from PayPal for selling items/services through F&F. You're at a higher risk of having someone report you for F&F selling than using G&S.

I'm 17, and I act very cautiously when doing claims or such a thing. One mistake, and they will fuck my account up so fast.

I’m kinda glad that my country doesn’t have F&F option now
