What do you do differently from other service teams? If your answer is that you're the cheapest around or you give the best service, then congrats, so does everyone, find something else. If I were to start a service team I'd start with a niche I was familiar with - plugins, builds, whatever - and try to recruit the best freelancers possible. Doesn't matter if the team's prices are a bit higher, if the freelancers' work speaks for itself then people will pay for it. The trick is to be better than everyone else, you can't just brute force your way into a market without having some sort of unique selling point.

Counter argument: All of the examples you brought up had nowhere near the amount of competition as this. Tesla had <10 competitors. Apple has never had more than 5 legit competitors. Skype had few competitors of which you only know the name of 2 (discord and teamspeak, since skype's downfall after discord rose is when we saw hangouts, zoom, and slack) which all operated fundamentally different. Meanwhile on this site, there are easily over 50 service teams in a market that doesnt really have much room for variety so therefore saturation can and is occurring.

Onto point 2: A saturated market will see a price decline, why do you think configurators spend hours of their time setting up crates and plugins for a couple bucks? Why do you think most service teams dont even have workers (hint: it's because when you only make a couple of dollars, losing 20% of it to a person who just welcomed someone to the server it a HUGE loss). The only jobs on this site that actually make money are developers and account sellers, the reason? Coding takes skill and knowledge that most people are too lazy to learn & account selling takes a large amount of money to enter. Artists are in the middle but there is still a lot of people doing that so it's hard to get people to your service.
I can say with certainty there is plenty of room to improve upon the product of service teams. Weather or not anyone has the wits and account balance to implement any meaningful and actually positive changes is really not the problem of the market it's the problem of the team owners. Automate the product creation process, improve the sales experience, change how freelancers are hired and paid to incentivize higher quality, that's just off the top of my head. Saying were near the end of innovation is ludacris.

The Laptop Market right now is a great comparison. A million producers, an established form factor, prices are fairly locked in, yet Microsoft is changing the space with the Surface Pro, Duo and Apple with the iPad Pro 2018 & again with the 2020. To some extent you could say the Macbook Pro touchbar was also an innovation in laptop design. Maybe not a total shift, but welcome innovations that handedly improved the experience.

From my experience, there was not a change in price for the services offered by a team than an individual, MCM has established prices a long while ago, and they haven't changed much since.

Cut some things from the team. Focus on one or two things. Try to be the leader in that segment of the market. As you are doing this, also try to offer your products in a better way. Maybe make a better ordering system similar to fiverr? Maybe advertise on different platforms than just MCM? There are a lot of customers who has no idea what MCM even is - take advantage of those.
