-The designs are ugly
-Their sites are pretty slow
-Premium plans are expensive AF (in the long run)
-People always criticize websites that use enjin
-Enjin site are overused
-Not too much can be customized in a enjin site either
-They're just bad overall

Instead of spending hundreds per year on a premium enjin plan, just buy web hosting for $10 per year and enjoy a Xenforo forum that doesn't lag as much, looks nicer, and is just better overall

Regardless they're a decent place to start for new servers, considering you can use trial codes to get yourself a month or two of the advanced enjin package. Rather than immediately dropping $140 on a Xenforo license, $10 on a webhost, $10 on a domain, and then whether or not you use a free theme can add another $35. In the long run, buying a webhost and using xenforo is better, however for someone starting out it's much cheaper to deal with enjin than xenforo.

Well like I said to the guy above, you don't really need to pay for xenforo or its addons and themes if you know the right sources
