Hello MC-Market,

(I apologize if this is in the wrong section)

I have always had talent as an artist, and I have been fascinated by what I've seen in the drawing department with minecraft server logos and such.

So, for the last few months, I've been considering becoming a graphic designer on my own. And now, finally, I've decided to go with it.

I am completely lost, though. With everything. I'd like to know if there are any tips and/or tricks I need to know with hand-drawing minecraft server logos, and what materials I will be needing.

I currently run on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, a Razer Deathadder Chroma gaming mouse, and an office chair. I don't have any of the real materials to begin at the moment, but I would like to know what I will be needing, and if there's anything I should know beforehand.

My material budget: $100.00 - 150.00

Feedback, even constructive criticism, is appreciated!

Thank you.

No good artist says "I have always had talent as an artist, " fyi.

"I currently run on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, a Razer Deathadder Chroma gaming mouse, and an office chair. "
No one cares what mouse you have or what chair you have. Doesn't matter.

Buy a tablet on amazon. Install software. Start Drawing.

That is not true. I'm not full of myself as far as my art is concerned. All I was saying was that I've always been considered a "gifted" artist, because, from a young age, I've always been able to draw quite well naturally.[DOUBLEPOST=1536812210][/DOUBLEPOST]
You'll need a drawing tablet, I think it'd be pretty hard doing it with a mouse. Also there'd be lots of tutorials online that you could follow, or you could watch other people doing speed art to get an idea of it.
Do you know any tablets or software in particular?

Just make stuff. A tablet is just another means to an end, if you practice just like any other skill you will improve. Just make an effort at making what you want to end up selling.

I'd recommend starting small then working up. If you're intentions to be a graphic designer is to sell your art, then you shouldn't become a graphic designer. Express yourself, try getting Adobe Photoshop 2017 CC, and Illustrator 2017 CC.
Play around with different tutorials. Think bold. I've been working with twitter banners lately getting the feel of Photoshop because I'm new to it and it's going good so far. If you want to go through drawing, get a drawing tablet.

Starting off isn't the easiest thing to do, but don't start big. Also don't think too high. Set reasonable goals. Make reasonable decisions. Everyone is gifted in their own way. Weather it is learning a program faster than others, or naturally artistic and be able to work a pencil into amazing pieces. You don't need the best of gear to be a designer, and frankly, what you've got is good enough. For your budget, try getting printer paper and some pencils and draw. Basic stuff, designs.. Then move to maybe the graphical portion of it. Maybe you don't like drawing, maybe you want to do visuals. Maybe animation...

Good luck on finding a start!

One of my banner's I've recently made.
