Well, I want to get into editing and making minecraft trailers. I have never done this before, so I went and got a few mods, and shaders. I made this in about 2-3 minutes, I want feedback and constructive criticism to help me improve. E.G. Music Choice, Recording Style, Etc. Also I this was just a test, so there wasn't any transitions at beats etc. I will do that when I actually record some. NOTE: This map is not mine, just some free spawn I found on PMC for testing.

Also, how much would could I charge for something like this 1-2 minutes long.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Some basic tips:
  • Use shaders
  • Make cuts in the video. One path is nowhere near enough.
  • Fix the aspect ratio. Either make it 16:9 or 21:9.
  • Spend more than 2-3 minutes on it. A good trailer more often than not take hours.
  • Try to make smoother camera movements. You don't want the viewer to get sick watching.
  • I don't know if this is just for the example trailer, but you need text in a trailer. Without it, the viewer won't know anything. Assume they know nothing.
When you have made a trailer using these tips, feel free to PM me a link, and I will review it further. As for the price, I'd say $1-3.

I did use shaders,
"Also I this was just a test, so there wasn't any transitions at beats etc. I will do that when I actually record some."
I thought I did use 16:9 Ratio? I maximized the window and am on a 1920x1080 monitor, do I need to f11 it?
Yeah, was test.
Thanks, will do.
Yeah was example, was doing it for quality test, etc.

Thanks will contact when I do :)

I'd recommend that you try to do the test/training trailers just like you would do a regular. That way, you will learn better. Good luck ;)

As you mentioned, it's just a test so there aren't any transitions or anything. Just going from this recording, I'd say be careful with the overuse of dutch/extreme angles. I think it would be easier to see what needs improving if you get a more substantial example displaying something different things to showcase with transitioning and music choice.

This could just be an issue I encounter, but I've taken screenshots before in a maximized window versus fullscreen and found that capture from just a maximized window outputs to 1920x1017. This means that recording you get from a maximized window won't be 1080p because it requires 1080 vertical resolution.

From taking 4K screenshots for wallpapers etc, I've found that fullscreening as you mentioned (F11) fixes this issue.

Looks pretty nice, find some music that fits also make cuts to change scenes. Also look around and see other trailers that look similar to yours and beat their price.

Get Adobe After Effects for doing intros and such. There are TONS of tutorials and plenty of good content on YouTube.
I have that, don't know how to use though. Never used before. (I have adobe cc all)

Try to have different clips and sync them, not just 1 whole clip together if you know what I mean. I would also suggest doing the trailer in the day time if the song won't be dramatic.
