Hey, which CPU would be better for a Minecraft server with a lot of big cannons going off TPS wise? Both 4.0 GHz. Thanks.

You should keep in mind that the 6700K uses DDR4 RAM, which you will see a slight performance enhancement with Minecraft.

Hm, would a normal 4790 instead of a 4790k be better than a 6700k? I have a really nice offer on that, how much worse than the 4790k is it tps wise?

Matters what the host is selling, and the price for the server. Unless you're building it.
3.6 GHz 4790 for only $65 a month with 32 Gigs of RAM and some other Gucci stuff vs a 6700k 4.0 GHz for $100 a month.

i7-6700K servers are more expensive to build. Motherboards, memory, etc. all cost more than what would be needed for a i7-4790K build. I'd go with the i7 assuming you'd be getting the K model and not the base.
Well I'm mainly stuck between them (RS) and OVH, I'm getting a better deal with RS but I need to best specs I can get. hmm

RSNET will work fine, they're very close to OVH in regards to latency/location. Only reason to go for OVH would be if you need higher DDoS mitigation capacity since RSNET's higher plans are fairly expensive.

Actually the correct analysis is whether you need GUARANTEED mitigation or not.

Don't care how much mitigation is at your disposal (meaning it a "hit or miss" if it mitigate your attack)? Then OVH may be for you.

Or

Would you rather pay the extra cost for contracted mitigation? Meaning whatever you contracted will be mitigated (in most cases as no system is "bulletproof")

Take your pick.
