Hello, currently I have an idea for a server that could become popular and enjoyed by a large group of people. Although, I lack the funds to start the server... I want a partner, someone who can financially assist as well as help run the server operations. I am not looking for a community manager, I need someone with some experience owning, managing, or operating a server, and who is willing to invest some money to get the server started. I do quite a bit of communications throughout the minecraft communities and I can handle finding media partners, developers, and builders. All I really need is someone to fund the server and help me run it.

I don't exactly want to put my idea out there for anyone to copy or steal, but if you've played the Annihilation game on us.shotbow.net then you'll have a base knowledge on the idea I have. It's not exactly like Annihilation although some aspects are similar. It is a large team game; some other games that could be considered similarly styled include The Walls, Skywars, and Bunkers. The idea I have will combine a few aspects from a many different games to create an ultimate experience.

Now, the way I run servers is very different than most. I generally do not like having a large staff team, but seeing that this server will be instantly popular we will need a bigger team. How I want to organize the team is like this... we wouldn't have many staff ranks or chances for our staff to be promoted. We would simply have the Staff rank, this rank would include all of our staff and everyone on the team would have equal power, commands, influence, among other things. Although we only have the one staff rank, there will be an opportunity for staff to be "promoted". This wouldn't per say change the rank or status of the staff member, but add more to their responsibilities, commands, and influence. Running the staff team this way limits drama and uncooperative staff members. It also helps to keep staff active. I'd be recruiting around 30 staff members before we release the server to ensure the server has a base staff team working around the clock in many timezones to keep the server cheater free and enjoyable for our players.

Finally, if you're interested in helping me out with the funding and investments and want to work alongside me as an Owner, you can contact me over Telegram @Skript.

Thank you.

1 question, Have you ever ran a server before?

Agreed,

This all seems sketchy, you're asking someone to come in providing most if not all the financial support, just for you to be the one who decides what the staff team, and how the entire server works.

Yes, I've run a few servers before mainly smaller ones that never got very popular. These were also run in very early versions of minecraft before I took a break. I ran 3 soup servers between Beta 1.1_01 and Beta 1.1_02 updates of MC. These servers never were popular and the biggest player count on one of them hit 40. At that point in the game's history, 40 was a pretty decent amount compared to servers today. I then took a short break from creating servers and I just played Soup around the time "Jamzta" was still playing. I kept playing that and then when Factions came out I release a small Factions server, this server had around 200 players that were constantly playing and I made some quick cash off of that server. I then waited until MC 1.6.4 to release a new factions server which hit a total unique player count of over 7000. I then stopped opening my own servers and started working with friends servers. I became a manager on many servers between 1.6.4 and 1.7.10, then I moved to HCF where I started administrating and managing servers there. Recently I've worked as a manager for 2 practice servers and one skyblock/hcf/prison server.

All that doesn't matter if you expect the other owner to contribute the majority of the money without having the majority of power.

The other owner would have quite a substantial amount of power, and all major decisions would be discussed between us both. However, I am used to doing server management and I am not looking to take all the power, but to take the majority of the responsibility and work load that comes with owning a server. I used to have a friend who invested in a server of mine before and he wasn't much of a management guy, so he really put all tasks on me and I guess that's how I worded it.[DOUBLEPOST=1491691239][/DOUBLEPOST]
