Ideas for New Small Business

Hello everyone.
I know that this might not be the best place to put this, but if you wouldn't mind helping me out that would be great.

So I am looking to start a new small online business. As far as funds go i have a real job so I have the funds. My question to you(the community) is: "What business should I start or should I not start one at all".

So Before i had a hosting service as seen in my signature. It worked out great but i was spending too much time so i shut it down. Now im thinking of starting something similar again(now i have funds), but I feel that there is so many competitors I would be wasting my time.

What is your opinion? Should I start? Any unique ideas? What should i start? What I would need?
Sorry for so many questions, but I guess what I am trying to say is if you have any ideas let me know!

PS> Keep in mind I wish this to be a small online business with possible employees and one which i dont have to necessarily purchase/rent a space to have an office.

I have a lot of experience with WHMCS and overall setup of a hosting company
I know how to code Java and create websites
I know how servers work and how to operate them (Previous Admin and Developer of several servers)
Lastly I have quite a lot of free time

I know that the post is hinting that I am looking to start a hosting company but in reality I am open to any ideas of small businesses online are you think have potential.

Depends on your intentions. For example, I do free minecraft server hosting to a lot of people. I make no profit from it, but that's not what I do it for. Are you looking to make a lot of money, of are you looking to do something beneficial for others that isn't necessarily profitable to you?

In this case, If i am to be spending money I wish to spend it with an increase. So yes I am primary looking to be making money, BUT i know that some hosts provide both paid and free servers and that might be something I will be looking into in the sense that I still make profit while helping out. Yet once again this is if I am to be starting a hosting company. As said before I am open to any ideas.

Interesting idea but I would appreciate more specific example of apps though I don't think for me apps will be best as Im not a very good app developer
