First of all, thank you all so much for the support placed on my first thread: http://mc-market.org/threads/153811/
If you want to see McReport, go to http://mcreport.net/ or http://www.mcreport.net/
At the moment, you can only search for users, using either a UUID or Username. You can get some results back, but eventually, you will be able to get details on past scams from that user.
I was going to implement a system where data would be grabbed from this site, and the scam report would be displayed on McReport, but this is no longer an option, unfortunately. This means I'm going to have to think of a new way to have scam reports. I also need to find out, what sort of alias do people use when working with customers? OG and SemiOG collectors would use Usernames, so having a scam report attached to a username would be good. But artists and web developers normally use other methods of contacting customers, such as Skype, Discord or other options.
My Idea:
My idea is to have a "Submit a report" area on the website. This would be a form of some kind, that would send the data to a reviewer, then get added to a database, which could then be searched on the website.
In the form would be a section for a username/alias to be entered. I was thinking of having a dropdown with options to use what alias it is, eg. UUID, McUsername, Skype, Discord etc. Then when the data is entered into the database, there would be multiple columns, like Hawkk idea:
Information about the report would also be submitted, and this is what would be sent off for review.
When the data is to be accessed, the user chooses what alias to search, eg. Cre8tionz, Notch, Bob etc and they choose a category eg. UUID, McUsername, Skype, Discord. That column in the database is searched and if a report is found, the information gets displayed back.
What do you think of this idea? Is this the best way to implement this? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated, just post it in the comments below, PM me, or contact me @ [email protected]
