I was thinking the same. But than again slots can work. And SEO is proven to be affective
Advertising on YouTube is possible, but because it's such a saturated platform it's not really recommendable.
Getting a good website up and running (this includes CEO) is a must.
You could also try to buy sponsored slots in minecraft server lists, they appear to work.
But, it all boils down to this: you can spend all the money on advertising you want, but the server needs to be good to have an active and committed community.

Trailer advertising doesn't work as well as it used to, but it still works so I recommend it. SEO however doesn't really work on Minecraft servers from experience, I don't recommend it. Google advertising is mainly for companies or products. Slots on .org and mcsl work flawlessly if there is already an existing playerbase. Overall, I recommend a shit ton of small youtubers and maybe a partnership with a large youtuber or two, then you can eventually reach out to slots whether it's full or part time.
Don't forget to also use free advertisement methods to your advantage such as voting sites and just gathering a bunch of users in your Discord prior to release/making it hyped up. If you need an advertising manager at any time, let me know. PM me for contact and I can assist you.
