If you would like to see something like this happen, then what would YOU want in such a bot?

Reply with any suggestions, comments, and even opinions on this idea, we want to be as open to the community as possible!

For example, you could give us feedback on what you want to be improved on such a bot, What features you would like on the main bot, what kind of system, etc.

NOTE: This is a serious project, so people do not troll, hate, or trash this thread, please.

Allow it to be extendable like CoreBot is with their plugins system

SO like addon resources? We already have a system for that, you drag and drop the newly purchased folder that you'll receive into the modules folder and the bot will do the rest

A webUI would be nice. Changing configs and restarting the bot each time is a pain in the ass

You wont be changing the configs, we're having a full extensive dashboard being implemented :)[DOUBLEPOST=1609417350][/DOUBLEPOST]The only few things you would be changing in-file would be a token and other important parts of the puzzle that we wont be able to implement into the dashboard, like sensitive info and user-specific tokens

Question: Myself and a few community developers are always seeking for new opportunities to progress and expand on from CoreBot, I will also clarify I am a staff member at CoreBot and manage tickets and whatever so I may be a little biased.

1. Will the bot be encrypted?
2. How will you guys uphold support? (We have a lot of documentation and error messages explain how to change something but some people are not the brightest in the community.)
3. Will the bot be self-hosted?
4. Will the dashboard be self-hosted?
5. Will there be support for custom code to be run? (Example CoreBot Addons)

Just asking a few questions, not trying to cause issues.

Many thanks
Lloyd

Absolutely no problem, thank you for being interested in our little venture project :p

1. Will the bot be encrypted?
- Possibly, that's one thing we haven't discussed - so we'll need to decide if whether it'd be a good idea to obfuscate the code or 'encrypt' it.

2. How will you guys uphold support?
- We will be having documentation, and 99% of the bot will be run through a dashboard to help make everything much simpler for the end-user. If there are errors that we have not accounted for, a user may join our server for guaranteed support within 48 hours unless duly specified. With the dashboard system, there shouldn't be too many errors if at all any. Anything outside of the dashboard would be accounted for with error messages along with links to a wiki, documentation, and a discord server.

3. Will the bot be self-hosted?
- Yes, the bot will be self-hosted. We're coming up with ideas for a monthly subscription and more, but nothing has been decided as of yet. It should work on generic bot hosting, but should this bot take off successfully, we'll put time into developing an egg for Pterodactyl and more!

4. Will the dashboard be self-hosted?
- Possibly, we're thinking for the best way to do this - it could be self-hosted and you'd have to go to dash.athena.net (the domain may be taken I haven't checked yet) and you edit the files with a login with discord or the user hosts it on their VPS.

5. Will there be support for custom code to be run? (Example CoreBot Addons)

- Yes, there will be a very simple module system with a drag and drop folder process. The user will only be required to move the commands and events folders to the respective locations and the bot will run them automatically. This is confirmed as the modules system is now finished.
NOTE: There will be an add-on development guide going over the process for developers in the future if people would be interested.

Again, thank you for showing interest. This is proving to be a complicated, fun, and amazing project to work on, and having more and more people willing to interact with the development process is a good sign for us.

Hi there Trovvie, I am wondering if you will be doing vouch copies. I am a community developer for Corebot and would love the chance to give an honest review on this product once released.

I'm not sure if we'll do vouch copies, I'll have a chat with the rest of the team about it :p

More questions..

1. What language is the bot going to be written in?
2. Who is apart of the team?

Many thanks
Lloyd

1. What language is the bot going to be written in?

- As the most common and easy to work with out of all the languages present, the bot will be coded in node.js.

2. Who is apart of the team?

- Sky., RiznSun, Ivan., Baby Choncc

Will there be language translations? I think one of the downsides of corebot and zeltux are the lack of language translations. It can be very annoying to have to manually translate embeds.
