Fellow Minecrafters, Old-Time Friends, and All:

The days of our beloved Minecraft we all know and love are rapidly moving from our grasp, ever so slowly, but fast enough to where we cannot catch it. "Be the best, have the best" seems to be the "new Minecraft mentality." Strange plugins and difficult worlds preventing one from the ultimate gameplay that we grew to know through familiarity. While some say familiarity is preventing ultimate growth, there are some things in life we like and fathom to keep the same. That is why I am here today to explain my vision...my vision to once again have a Minecraft community that thrives..that sings..that experiences, that adventures, that enjoys, that is fair, that is just, that is friendly....that is Minecraft.

"That" is why I am here to present the #ThatsMC movement--designed to include players that want to thrive, sing, experience, adventure, and enjoy the feeling of what still is a cosmopolitan community...because it all starts with that.

With "that" being said, I am searching for dedicated and friendly applicants to assist with this project development. Together, we can create a community for all, a community for us. It's time to become part of a movement that will shape Minecraft servers forever. No further details of this upcoming development will be enlisted due to intellectual property concerns and project confidentiality. Until release, I please ask you spread the word about #ThatsMC to bring familiarity to the name and concept. It takes a lot to start a movement, but with the right people, it can be expedited.

To reiterate: The mission for #ThatsMC is to create a server that everyone can enjoy whilst sharing quality communal time together...the real Minecraft. A server to relax, build, craft, smelt, mine, farm, PVP and make friends.

When commenting, please try to share a Minecraft memory you have from either when you successfully raided the biggest faction on a server or when you built the largest/most developed town on a server. Memories do not have to be to that extreme, but to the idea of something you have accomplished in your Minecraft career.

I understand your desire for a place like this, and I would wish you the best in this endeavor, but I feel that I should testify that this is not going to succeed. Years I ago I found myself missing old days of Minecraft of simple survival with my friends, so I created an actual server for just simple survival. All we had for public use was Essentials plugins; everything else was Vanilla.

Ultimately it gained no popularity and people got bored. If you're really longing for an experience like this, recruit some IRL friends to do a SMP. I have a small server with PebbleHost that I play on with my friends. We have an inclusive little community and usually about 6-15 of us are on daily. It's a better experience when it's smaller.

So again, best of luck to you on this, but unique gameplay and innovation is what excites people. Branding this as a route back to "original Minecraft" has never worked in the past and I don't see it working now.

I understand your whole entire post because that was and is me. I have done the SMP with friends, realms, different servers and have even tried this whole approach before, but if I stop trying, then I will never know If I am able to succeed with this.

Just figured I'd let you know. If you want, I can recommend a domain name for you. I used to have access to the domain ownership, but it expired a long time ago. I also have the 64x64 hand-drawn icon on my desktop somewhere, and a bigger hand-drawn logo in case you wish to change the name of the server from ThatsMC to my old network name. Wouldn't ask for much for the graphics. Probably just $10 for the art and the icon.
