I’m not sure if you’re only willing to go with something fully custom, however I did just post a new semi-custom logo to my art shop (https://www.mc-market.org/threads/534865/). It would include your chosen text and you could pick from many customization selections. Also, well within your budget, it costs $6.99.

Clearly you don't know to price things if you have been stuck in the Minecraft community makes sense.

First, I think it is good that you have an established budget, it really helps artists understand how they should try to maximize the value they offer you in their designs.

I agree with adamawesome135, this is your brand and you want the highest quality logo you can afford, since your players will see that investment as a sign of the quality and effort you are putting into your server.

For $40 a high quality logo is possible but it will have to fairly simple, probably text only with maybe even a few simple graphics around it. The examples you posted are not very high quality and for only a budget of $40 you risk getting something much lower quality than you hope for.

For example, a simple logo like this is not that expensive, but it is clean and bright with an attention to detail that matters:

A clever designer could create a simple text only logo for you and sketch out a plan for additional elements that you could add when your server makes some money and you can extend your budget.

For example, both of these logos could stand alone with just the text, then I could have added the illustrations afterwards:

Another option is to combine your budget for your logo with your budget for your rank icons, like in this example:

In this case the rank Icons were designed to work as part of the logo as well as on their own:

So basically I think you have quite a few options to maximize on the value of your budget, you just have to focus on quality content and work with a designer who can help you create that value.
