Hey there, I am Sm0oth_kriminal
Gee, where to begin...
Well, right now I am in 8th grade, doing great in school, but now I work and help others with MC servers!
It all started when I was very young, my father is a computer programmer for a small company that holds international clients, but I didn't like coding as a child (young child, of course). I wrote very small programs in C# but was at a loss about the functionality. I always loved MC a ton, and could not stand boring single player. So I played servers, and wondered "How do they have colors, commands, game modes, etc." and I talked to my dad (since he was a programmer) and he told me about Minecraft Coder Pack (My dad doesn't game) and they wanted to get me a MC development kit (For money on the internet).
But I am a CHEAP person and refused to:
1. Be taught by anything for money
2. Learn something new that I couldn't learn myself
Of course, he didn't really believe it would work itself, but that it would spark interest in myself
Of course, I didn't learn it very well, and I gave up while in 5th grade.
But then , in 7th grade, my school had a 1:1 technology grant (Every child gets a macbook, I know it is ridiculous.) and I got back into multiplayer MC. So I put together a MC server and needed plugins, BAM, needed to write some custom plugins, and learned the bukkit API. From there, I also got into writing a math solver, and a tutor for new students at my school.
And here I am, about to launch a new server that is gonna be so darn professional...
Anyway, that is my programming/MC life.
My real life is a little different:
Right now, I am in 8th grade, taking all honors, and rocking it. Math has always been my strong suite, so I tryed to
get into a local school specifically for kids who are very talented for math. I got in. And next year, I will be taking Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra II and AP statistics. I had to give up both of my electives for that... And proud to do it! But I may ask to change that AP statistics, because it is a college level course intended for the smartest 11th and 12 graders, but I got to change my elective because I had teacher recommendation. Right now, I am about to take my Honors Algebra I EOC exam (At my school, you can take Algebra 1 in 8th grade for high school credit), and I am bored out of my mind of it. I even started what is referred to at my school as the 'Calculus Group'. Basically, we are so bored, and have so much free time, that we learn upper level math in our free time. We started with precalculus, and have worked our way in to multivariate calculus, about to work into partial differentials. But anyway, I am very interested in math, and programming. That is my academic life, but the rest of my life goes a little like this:
I have always been an entrepreneur, I sold canned cokes in 7th grade and picked up about 80$ which is just fine with me
. I enjoy music, and enjoy playing and writing it (http://picosong.com/XmEu/ how is it
). I play the Tenor Saxophone in band, but my true passion is piano, and I am learning Bach's 1st prelude of the Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1 now, as well as Bach's 21st prelude of the Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1.
I also enjoy film, my favorite films being Silence of the Lambs, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Phantom of the Opera.
That is my life! See you all on the forums!
