I'm stuck, and need help quick

Hello! My Names nick. I'm currently selling a method, and a person offered me bitcoin, right?

They sent the bitcoin and provided screenshots of them actually sending it, I gave them the right wallet address, and it's been 12 hours, and I've yet to receive the bitcoin.

that's one of the images of the bitcoin being sent. Could it have been sent to the wrong address, or was I scammed? I checked discord logs, and I did give him the correct address twice.

If anybody can help me out with this I'll be really grateful. $7 is alot to me atm. Not the smartest cookie when it comes to bitcoins!

Alright at least I'm good on that part. Do you know if bitcoin transactions take this long? This is my first time dealing with bitcoin, I usually only use my paypal

They can take 24 hours... he may have chose the longest option to save on fees

But he should at least see a pending transaction to the address. Can you paste the address here so I can copy/paste?

They haven’t sent the amount of .000709 BTC, your only transaction on that address so far is .000139 in and .000139 out.

Nah, you can make it now. The person faked a screenshot of them sending money, it was never broadcast to the bitcoin network, never hit the mempool. Money isn’t coming.

Attach this to your scam report. They sent the $7 to themselves

And do yourself a favor, don’t accept bitcoin in the future, you don't know enough about it.

You said $7 in your original post, and you should have done your own due dilligence that you actually had your money before you sent him your “method”. You also should have confirmed the exchange rate of bitcoin first, although he did send around $10, but $1.30 was used for fees. This comes down on you not checking for yourself and accepting a “sent” screenshot with everything blacked but the amount as proof.

He scammed you because you allowed him to scam you. Half of this is on you, the other half is on him. Consider this a lesson learned.

I think I'm just dumb when it comes to crypto. I understood nothing, he knew what he was doing and was pretty much manipulating me. If I was more informed on crypto this wouldn't have occured, which is why im not longer go to accept it.
