Important info before PMing someone

I thought of this suggestion awhile ago, but I think it would be helpful if you could set something similar to the auto conversation responder, but before the PM is sent.
If you click "Start a conversation" with any member you'd see something similar to this:

Which could include a FAQ, helpful links or important information that could answer someone's question(s) before the PM is sent.

that's kinda the tradeoff. The more popular you are, the more likely you are to be spammed/flooded with messages. That's life.

I'm not even a mod. This would be nice - but I don't think some people read things before they post.

It's not necessary to allow people to view and set this sort of stuff before the PM. If you have information you want to give them then doing it in your autoresponder would be the best way to do it. If you want to ignore someone because your autoresponder already replied to their question then that's fine too. Denied.
