Improving combat in 1.16

Dear Mc-Market users,

My name is Sylver and I want to make a skyblock server, this will be for the first time ever. Before I had a KitPvP server in the version: 1.8 (It did decent). I would like to make the Skyblock server in 1.16 but I just kind of hate the 1.16 combat system and I would like to improve it and I was wondering if any of you guys could possibly help me with that? It would be much appreciated if you could just maybe send me some public plugins to help doing this and give your thought on this!

This is normally the most well-known and used plugin for 1.8 combat mechanics on a 1.16 server, https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/oldcombatmechanics-disable-1-9-hit-cooldown.19510/, but please note, that even with plugins, and additional modifications, 1.16 combat will never be a 1:1 feel of the old 1.8 PvP, as things such as hit detection and knockback are set in stone.

OldCombatMechanics and BackToTheRoots are the two main plugins for having 1.8 PVP in 1.16. Personally I prefer BackToTheRoots over OldCombatMechanics and I think it works a little better as well.

I wasn't able to actually do the quick look up of the plugin but it looks like someone else did. Also you could add different features like "magic", etc. depending upon your wish and whim for the server.

Is it just me or is the new Minecraft pvp quite fun, yes annoying but I kinda like it. Idk if its because I haven't played 1.8 pvp in a few years and only 1.16 casually recently or what

yeah its for sure more sweaty and click based but at the same time anyone can 1.16 pvp, idk just what people prefer I can for sure see why some prefer 1.16

Yeah that's true, I just don't like pvp overall anymore anyways.
