In Game Twitter

Would anyone be interested in using twitter in game? I don't really know if plugins like this exists or not (Probably does), but I've recently been messing around with the TwitterAPI and its really fun and I think I can integrate it to use in minecraft.

EDIT: just saw that this plugin exists so if I were to make it it'll be free.

Hi, I'm interested in this. How exactly are you talking about when you say "I think I can integrate it to use Minecraft". My understanding off it atm is that you would type a command such as, /follow (username) and you would get a prize for following on twitter??. Anyway have a nice day pal.

Lol I didn't even think about that. I was thinking about like, /dm username message. Note this would probably be only for owners as Twitter requires 4 different authentication tokens in order to connect to the account. What I was thinking is that if you have an event in your server you do /status Come Join for SOTW this weekend. Or if you need to update everyone about server maintenance in game and on Twitter at once.

Yeah it'd be cool. I think it would be sick if you could /login and /logout of it aswell.

You can but you would have to trust the owned with pretty much your account unless you encrypt the file containing the access keys which 1. I don't know how to do and 2. Not worth it for a minecraft plug-in.

I meant for a plugin like twitter but in minecraft but it would have different accounts, i wouldnt have my twitter as @itsvapey and then it copy over to the minecraft server. I just mean you make a new account.

I think I understand what you're saying. You mean like an actual new plugin that is like twitter where you make an account in game and etc. If thats what you mean that would be cool, I'm sure I could make it but idk if I want to though

I would think this would be great, letting players claim a prize for following them since alot of servers try to get there players to follow them and in most cases its not that they don't wanna follow just that they're already in the game and playing so don't really stop playing to do a minor step.

Yea ik. I'm trying to see if there is anyway of me getting who followed me on twitter and I can do anything with that information, I just have to look into it further.
