In need of some ideas for a quality , non "pay to win" network (Starting with KitPvP)

Hey! I'm Ariel , I own PlatinumMC - a server that is currently being revamped from an average server to hopefully a quality unique network. a big mistake we had last time was that we didn't have an actual team and never planned the work , this changed and now we're beginning on developing our network and first gamemode! (a unique kitpvp)Right now our development team is working on a custom paper fork for us, We're getting a pretty decent budget of about 2000$ that we can use to everything that can help this server be awesome. I want this to succeed , really badly which is why I'd like to ask for some assistance in what kinds of features you guys would like in a quality kitpvp, we already have bunch of ideas but I think more opinions and other people's ideas would just make the server better , thanks!

- Make a few styles of kits, but not too many"
- Don't have a gear imbalance; that's the reason I hate playing the Hypixel Pit, I jump down and get 3 shot by some guy.
- Have a fun gameplay style, a reason that people want to keep playing
- Events, or something similar. It's way more fun.

Thanks for the suggestions , we had purchasable events in our store in mind, players can purchase events for the whole server ( also there's gonna be a regular scheduled koth)
