In need of someone to guide me on how to setup a domain for my server.

So i got a domain from namecheap and i wanted to set it up for my server ip,
saw some videos did kinda exactly what they did but didn't really managed to make it work,
i've waited up to 48 hours btw.
Anyone kind enough to bother with me and help me? Thank you vm.
