Edit as of 7/2/20:
The LONG AWAITED "more specific commands" document is here. It is a LENGTHY read and has got alot of shit in it. I took into account of mostly everything that my 12am brain could think a discord ticket bot would need so here it is.

Have fun.

So the ticket bots that exist on the market are alright. They have their issues respectively and I think there's room for improvement. With that said, I'm wanting to get a bot dev who can understand the things I list out on my document and collaborate with me (with pay of course) to develop a better bot.

The document is listed out with "scenarios" rather than actual features right away, as I want a dev who can look at the situations and suggest/collaborate a work around to them.

The process that I would consider as ideal for this type of commission is as follows:
  1. You're a bot dev.
  2. You'll read over https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DC7IWcaveEM1lTs3RVuL_XzbjcUf2NjnMGewG1H_sD4/edit?usp=sharing
  3. (This is optional) You'll watch the video linked at the top of the document if you want to know more about the project's scope. If you contact me and we're unable to setup a time to call to go over the document, the video is there for that kind of purpose.
  4. You'll contact me over on discord @ Devil#0666 if you're interested and want to know more/discuss about the project.
The budget that I have can go into the $100+ range, however, without proper initiative/interest from a bot developer I will be very much less inclined to go anywhere near there. There's ticket bots on the market with what I consider to be "basic functionality" and are good base codes to work with at relatively affordable prices. All the features that would be requested from me, are essentially extra features ontop of the ones that already exist. So keep this in mind when you're quoting your services/time.

You should be quoting with context to the add on of services, not coding the bot from complete scratch since you may have a portfolio of ticket bots, your own command handlers, your own premade methods to slightly modify and what not, ready to all go. If you're going to charge anywhere near the $100 mark for "starting from scratch on this bot" without a good set of reasons to do so, I'll see it as money hungry.

Be honest with me and how difficult the task will seem and I will do my best to be just as honest with what I value the work to be done as. All I ask is for the conversation to be as chill and understanding as possible. If we reach a disagreement regarding pay, I don't want a flame war starting up.

I will annihilate with loads of evidence from direct messages if need be to defend myself in these kinds of situations where a buyer and seller simply can't agree on a price, and one of them (namely the seller/service provider in this case) goes out of their way to defame and deter other interested developers from working with me. This kind of behavior is sickening and will not be tolerated by me.

If we do reach some sort of disagreement and you feel that I am sketchy or by other means a "waste of time" feel free to use MC-Market's reputation system to leave me a negative reputation. I already have 1 with this kind of context and can gladly explain myself for it upon request.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Thanks. I think the scenarios I've listed out on the doc can definitely improve the current standard of "discord ticket bot" functionality. The document here is for "public view" so anyone really could just look at it and go ahead and develop it, then push it out for their own profit. I could care less, if they're making it a premade resource and its of high quality, I'll gladly purchase it. If it becomes a free public ticket bot, I'll be even more happy to take advantage of it. Anyhow, thank you for your kind words :)

This seems really interesting and something I'd usually want to contact you about and begin discussing the bot (I'm an advocate for fun, interesting development), however, I've had no experience with working with the WHMCS API and I'd be no good at that as I would need a lot of time to research into it. It does seem interesting though and something that will be different to a usual ticket system and actually improve efficiency. Good luck with finding a developer for this!

This is honestly so cool and I've briefly read through it but I understand what it needs. I've added you on Discord, we should talk.

Added! Mixelate sells a bot that can do pretty much what you're looking for and if you aren't interested we got some devs that could help with that!
Explained to user in DMs, I am not looking to commission a service team and gave advice as to how to backtrace a potential customer's need/problem/potential commission thread by searching the customer's discord if you've forgotten as a sales rep of what they were needing.

wait so all the docs you posted in this thread you want all that stuff for around $100?
My budget can be $100+ (greater than 100 USD) if reasonable/appropriate.

I also specified that the documents are meant to be treated as "blueprints" and require a dev and I to collaborate on what features are necessary for a first version of the bot. So no, not everything on there needs to be developed on the first version/development of the bot.

Do you have a specific language you're looking to work with? I use java, if that's okay I'll add you on discord and we can talk more.

I keep forgetting to update the thread, but the bot is actually in progress right now. I believe its being coded with .... nodeJS or python? Also using firebase as the database by my request.
