Increase chat box character limit

ever since I’ve started using bbcode I’ve been realizing i get to the character limit to fast. I don’t know what the current one is but maybe like double it or even more would be great

it takes a lot or characters to make these sometimes i want other colors too.

I dunno about increasing it, but they should make them only take up 1 character instead, though it'd require custom development.

This has been suggested and denied in the past. Personally I quite like the fact that users are not able to spam fontawesome icons and other bbcode in their advertisements. Having bbcode take up some of your limited space in chat ad messages means you need to balance how much content you want to include in your ad and how much you want it to stand out with fancy formatting.
