So here's a bit more clarification on what's going on.
On the morning of December 2nd, 2016, I woke up and went on McM. All seems normal, and I head off for college.

While in college an hour later, I attempt to log back on, and run into trouble, including the error you're all too familiar with by now.
So I hop on the Mcmarket slack, and see the shit that appears to have gone down in the hour I wasn't online.

Long story short, Bebosny's admin account had its admin privileges removed, and the site was in the process of being moved to another host. This is what caused the initial 4-hour downtime.

Now ever since that happened, the site has been slow as fuck (by the time I post it this may have improved, but you can never be sure). I can't really explain why that is. I have no idea, not my type of knowledge. You'll have to ask Bebosny, because if Mick understood why, it would not bethis slow still.

At this point, a lot of you are confused. "How the hell can Bebosny lose admin powers when he owns the site?!" I hear you say.
In case this has not been explained at this point, he never truly was.

The moment of Bebosny taking over ownership of the site from Mick wasn't really a transferral of ownership. Just a transferral of managment.

I'm not privy to the reasoning behind this, but somewhere in the last month Bebosny tried to make a final bid (in more ways than one) to gain actual ownership of the site he's been trying to keep running.

This appears to have failed. From what I heard of him, he was locked out of the admin account of his OWN server before the whole thing started (yes, the server MCM was hosted on is owned by bebosny, even if the site isn't), then the move started.

The reason you only got what, a half hour warning, was that it was not Bebosny making a managment decision, but Mick and his newly hired system admin. Great communication, I know.

Now, back to the transferral of the site. This wasn't going too swimmingly, as I'm sure many of you could tell. At one point, the people involved were suspecting Bebosny of having shut down the server, because they kept getting errors. (only lasted a very short time)
Bebosny having been locked out of his admin privileges, this would be somewhat of a challenge for him. So instead, he decided to sit back and watch.

Now don't get me wrong. The server the site was moved to is not super lightweight or too crappy or anything like that (not my knowledge, this is what bebos told us). The site is simply not configured correctly for the type of server it's on. I wish the new sys admin the best of luck. I highly doubt bebosny feels like helping after being forcefully removed from his position as admin, which is effectively what happened.

Now, it looks like any chances of Bebosny becoming the site manager again are over.
Since all of this happened in an extremely unpleasant way that was by no means necessary, I don't exactly have the greatest confidence in the new managment. Would not have been too confident even if it had all been done professionally, but this goes way too far.

This message will double as my resignation. It's been an interesting run while it lasted (not really fun, but interesting nonetheless). I may or may not remain part of this community, depending on circumstances, but I have no intention of working under a management team I do not feel I can trust, rely on, work or even communicate properly with. On top of that, I have a college education to complete, and it's not the "party all night and ace the test in the morning" type. Even without this happening, I would not have been with you for more than a few months.

Half the reason I was still there is because I believe the team to be too small to do without me, even if I'm not the god of handling reports (M6 = god).

Mick nothing personal, really, despite what it may sound like. I was going to resign anyway, this whole event just sped things along a little.

DISCLAIMER: I do not under any circumstances claim that the above is purely fact. I'm a human being, which means I form opinions and have bias. The above is based on my observation of events. if you want to shit on that, make fun of it, or simply disagree in a civilized way, go ahead. I have better things to do with my life, especially now. Whether you'll be seeing me on this site a lot depends on fate now.

Ah damn. It's sad to see you go, but I personally wouldn't stay staff at a team I believed I couldn't trust as well, so it's a good decision in my eyes. Good luck with the education man! I wish to see you on more. I loved your input on suggestions, although I did not always agree, it is great that one of the staff members were active to form an opinion (which most of the time aligned with the opinion of the rest of the staff team - and BeBosny).

Now for my comment on this whole situation:
I, for one, wasn't here at the time of Mick's administration, so I have no previous experience or opinion of Mick or his management.
But the un-stable nature of it currently, doesn't paint a good picture. It is currently too early to form a good opinion, and I will not do that untill more information is shared, and untill I have had a proper experience of Mick as an owner.
My current opinion of Mick is good, but I have heard other things from other people.

I personally loved BeBosny, he was a great guy, I've yet to have a bad experience with him or any other staff member.

I won't make too bid a deal out of it, since we're still in the heat of the moment, and it isn't anything too gruesome yet.

RIP. Ivain & BeBos 2k16 <3

By what I've seen in the shout box, and the info in this post it sounds a lot like history has repeated its self. Though this time BeBosny is Night, and Mick has become Verringer, I agree with the point about not been able to trust the new management, moving a forum like this, would need some planning and should have given us a few days notice, and told us what's happening. I don't know Mick, but form what I've seen this past day, I don't particularly like him. As for his system admin, I wouldn't be surprised if Mick hired a 13 year old who used Linux once at school and not thinks he's a system admin, because he was cheap.

I'm going to say it, and if I get my first warning points for doing so, then so be it. But I've considering if MCM's competitors are quite as bad as I thought. Their ownership isn't as complex and best of all, they actually have a working forum and a competent owner.

That aside, it will be sad to see you go, you where defiantly the moderator I trusted the most :( but I don't blame you, the management is terrible atm.

that's one thing I disagree with, 90% of MCM competitors are run and populated by people that got banned from McM for being dicks, scammers or other scum (the remaining 10% of owners got banned for advertising their site).
Just because McM got worse does not mean they've become any better. I'll probably be moving mostly to spigot in terms of services.

I didn't really think about that, you're right though. Will just have to hope they fix the forum, as for management, only time will tell.
