So ive spent about all day on this so far and Im starting to get worried and slightly pissed off.

I added my SSD and when I go to load up my PC nothing happens, nothing appears on the screen for BIOS

Anyone really good at this shit?

On your motherboard there are different SATA ports. They also have names/numbers (ex SATA0, SATA1, etc).
It is important to note that the drive you want to boot windows from is in the SATA0 port. The second drive should be in SATA1. In that case you should be good to go
So if I hard drive is in SATA0 and my SSD is in SATA1, then it should boot up normally?[DOUBLEPOST=1564001940][/DOUBLEPOST]Im checking now and my HDD and SSD are in the right spots

It should yes.

The way your computer checks bootdrives goes from SATA0 —> SATA1 —> SATA2 etc..
If there is an empty drive in sata0 (ex. your new SSD) the pc won’t boot thinking that there is no operating system installed.

Also important to note but I think you already know this. All of your drives need 2 cables... 1 from the PSU and 1 from the motherboard
This is probably the most embarrassing thing ive done in a long time but. I took out the graphics cable, blew it out and now its displaying[DOUBLEPOST=1564002275][/DOUBLEPOST]Under my Devices and Drives its not showing up tho

What I did was I cloned my HDD to my SSD and then cleared my HDD

May I ask which SSD you bought?

Also if it came with software you might want to install that before anything[DOUBLEPOST=1564002496][/DOUBLEPOST]If you don’t have an optic drive download it From the manufacturer’s website instead of anywhere else
I bought a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB

Nykorrin that’s not always the right way since someone that has had their pc for ages and never cleaned it might also clone corrupted files which affect the new SSD’s performance[DOUBLEPOST=1564002699][/DOUBLEPOST]Nubbles which OS do you run? Win10/linux/etc
Windows 10

I dont have a disc. Bought this PC from HP and came with windows.
