Instant PM system

Hi,

As previously suggested, we are still planning to integrate a instant chat/PM system. We have found one addon that suits our needs and expectations however it completely replaces the current system. Your old PM's and such would still be accessible but the old PM system itself won't.

It has all sorts of layouts and options.

The question to you guys: would you like a system like this to replace the current PM system or would you like a completely seperate chat system?

Can you still embed images into the new instant PM system?

Yes.

Having three messaging systems would be chaos, it's just too much. Pointless.
Not to mention it would take longer to implement.
Shoutbox and PMs are perfect.

I chose to replace it, the current one is unefficient and there isnt much of a need to keep it, considering we can still view the old PM's

Reworded the poll as some of you apparently understood that you'd lose your current PM's which is not true.

No matter what we implement, current PM's would stay.

Most people want this cooldown removed, so that might happen.

MCM staff won't have as much to search through

We can't go through PM's anyways.

Despite not being a donor, this would be a nice Premium perk to have.

This would be available for everyone eventually.

I would like the instantaneous PM system. I think it seems fine. I was convinced by Overlord that it'd be a more realistic option than an actual IM system on the forum, in terms of bandwidth usage and such. I don't really know much about it.

I think a pure instant message system would be kind of annoying, honestly.

Some people seem to forget we're a marketplace and not Facebook or a Enjin site.

I'm not a huge fan, however I would understand if a majority would like this feature.

Personally, I like having the PM system the way it is. Perhaps it's just me, but I'll never use the PM system for instant communication. I get a lot of PMs as it is and I like to respond to them in the order they are received so that it's fairest for everybody. I also dislike the way it's designed and prefer the way the current PM system looks.

Based on those things, I'll continue to use the way the system works now.
