1.9 Do not post content in a language other than English or
without an English translation unless consented and limited to private conversation.

1.11.1 Do not post content which suggests you or another member want to be or should be considered for staff.

1.14 Do not post ‘goodbye’ threads, or other content which suggests you will no longer be using the site.

3.5 Do not advertise products and services which do not have a thread created explicitly for them on MC-Market.

6.5 Do not submit resource updates which do not contain significant improvements, with the intention of bumping.

9.1.2 Do not include a member's usage of the reputation system within your own review.

I'm sure there are reasons for these rules. I simply find them very interesting.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

'Cause people have a tendency to cuss and be inappropriate in other languages.
1.11.1 Do not post content which suggests you or another member want to be or should be considered for staff.
'Cause I'm sure it gets annoying having a ton of members being like 'I wanna be staff'.
1.14 Do not post ‘goodbye’ threads, or other content which suggests you will no longer be using the site.
When someone makes a goodbye thread, it's usually a sob story about how they got scammed even if they didn't or they did something wrong or they're toxic, etc. Plus a ton of people would make 'em otherwise ._.
3.5 Do not advertise products and services which do not have a thread created explicitly for them on MC-Market.
Spam. People making ads in shoutbox for services that could lead others outside of MCM (used to happen).
6.5 Do not submit resource updates which do not contain significant improvements, with the intention of bumping.
Because insignificant updates pushes others' resources off the newly updated list so they can get more views.
9.1.2 Do not include a member's usage of the reputation system within your own review.
Came w/ the reputation update a while to help reputation integrity I think.

I'm sure there are reasons for these rules. I simply find them very interesting.
It's a good selection of rules to be interested in. They all have a "story" behind them.
