Hey guys,
I have never properly introduced myself on the site and I think now would be a good time to allow the community to know a little more about me.
Firstly, I think it's important to start with something that combines us together, Minecraft. I started playing Minecraft when I was 14 years old and shortly after that started on my journey with the server SkyRealms owned by the company DoubleJump. This is where I first became a staff member before moving onto my own projects. I've now been a full time Manager & Configurator for 3 years and have enjoyed working everyday. I really enjoy creating amazing content for servers that not only works but looks appealing. I think the aesthetic of product is just as important as its ability to function. It's a known fact that things that look appealing have far more traction than something that looks unappealing.
I'm currently 18 years old. My birthday is however coming up on the 22nd of August. I work full time on Minecraft. I finished my school work and decided to really pursuit a career in Minecraft Development & Management. The skills and experience you can gain from managing staff teams, communities and development is huge and has massive potential. To anyone reading, reach for the moon and if you fall short you'll land on the stars. You should never be afraid to fail because you learn just as much from failure than you do through success. When i was younger my parents always struggled with me because I was a difficult child, but something I always remember my dad telling me as to why he stopped arguing with me was because I told him. "I would much rather fail my way than succeed doing it your way." That just goes to show that anything is possible and you can always reach your goals if you put the effort in, I'm where I am now through hard work and determination and if I can do it, anyone can.
I think it's important to remember that everyone is unique and everyone has their own path in life, you just have to find what makes you happy. Don't settle for anything less than the best.
