Hello eveyone, I have come up with a new idea for the investment threads seeing there are always threads asking for money and titles such as "Need quick money! PM ME for ROI" and some other kinds of titles like that.. Instead, why not when clicking the investment thread, it comes up with a form?

This is an example form:

Thread Title:
About your Investment:
Description about this project:
Investment Information:
Any other information:

This is just an example form that I'm referring to, but in any case, we should have investment forms instead of the normal "create your investment thread" because it could lead to any bullshit in any matter of ways :p

Inspired by http://www.mc-market.org/threads/48919/#post-600967 ?

Kent, I like your thinking...
But do you honestly believe that a form would hinder anyone from making a crap investment thread? Or even giving it a crap title?
Let me tell you how that would go....

"Thread Title: looking for someone to loan me some cash
About your Investment: I need cash for my daddy
Description about this project: The cash is for my daddy.
Investment Information: I'm going to buy my daddy a cup that says 'you are #1 dad'
Any other information: pls hurry, he leaves for the war in africa in two days."

Looks better? Maybe.
Is an actual investment thread? No.

Disguising the investments to look "professional" doesn't make them any better choices for investing.
Actually... I like being able to easily spot which thread is crap, and who took time to organize theirs.

Besides.... It'd be a bloody pain for everyone that do use the investment forum properly. More so than it would be helpful, at least.

If you see a begging thread in the investment forum, you can always let them know that a begging forum does exist, or report it for moving.

Let's see here... Investment threads still have to be approved by a staff member before it leads to the public, so that's a tip

Personally I think they have enough to worry about without manually approving every single investment thread....
Though if they're willing and able to do so without it interfering too much with the currently instantaneous investment creation process.... Well go ahead and ask them for their opinion.

But I do believe it would be a much more efficient use of time if we the users took care of filtering out and reporting the bad investments instead of putting that all on our few staff members.
It's not that difficult, and you can certainly opt out of doing so if you don't want to.

We could always have a investment staff who approves threads over the investment category, but as for now, there is already a approval on investment threads

Could you explain what you mean?
I just now posted an investment thread to verify if there is a staff approval process or not, and my thread was instantly available to the public without approval, so I'm not sure what you meant by that.

In regards to your suggestion for forum specific staff, I believe there has already been a similar suggestion thread made concerning that here, to which I've made my position clear.
Adding forum specific staff for one forum will only fabricate the question: "Well why not for this forum too?" and will likely result in demands for forum specific staff in multiple areas... And... I've already explained in that other suggestion thread why that's bad idea.

Then why is there a specific staff for the Scam Reports? Hmm.. and by the "approval of investment threads" I meant suggestions for it :p

There is not a "scam reports section staff".
There are staff assigned to specific reports.
Because scam reports are by their nature for the staff...
That's... Who you're writing it to.
That's your intended audience. xD
If not only the person who you claim scammed you.
And it is the only forum that is meant for staff.
Unless you consider directly messaging them via pm a forum (I do not, nor do most sane people).
Even the suggestion forums are directed towards the community as a whole (staff included).
