Do you mean domain?

You can purchase a domain from providers such as Namecheap and GoDaddy. I haven't tried GoDaddy, but Namecheap is pretty nice. There are some cheap domains there if you are on a tight budget and other nice ones if you have a pretty high budget. If you need some assistance, feel free to PM me.

Alrighty, I'll give you an example of how to purchase a domain (Yes you will need to buy one)

1. Go to https://www.namecheap.com/
2. In the box that says 'Search For Your Domain,' put your server name in the box or whatever you want the domain to be. For my example, I will be doing Endercloud, which is my server in the making.
3. Now you are going to want to press Search and view the results. endercloud.com is taken (as expected) so I can't use that domain. I can pick endercloud.network though. If I want that domain, I clicked the button with the cart.
4. Now go to your cart. Instructions on how to purchase the domain will be there.

Please note. It cost $ yearly to own a domain. You can cancel at any time you want though.

If you need help setting it up, please ask.

1. Log onto your GoDaddy account.
2. Click "My Account" on the top right.
3. Then click "Manage Your Domains"
4. Click the domain you want to use.
5. Click the "DNS Zone File" tab near the top of the page.
6. Follow the steps below that apply to you. Read each section and decide what is right for you.

With this IP you will still have to use the port when connecting with your domain.
If you do not want to use a port with your domain purchase a Dedicated IP.
7. Click "Add Record" under the "Zone File" and select the "A (Host)" record.
8. The "Host" section is where you enter your prefix i.e. If you want "mc.servername.com" enter "mc" if you don't want a prefix use "@".
9. On the "Points to" section type your numeric IP (do not include a port)
10. Check you have no duplicate records with the same "Host" if there are duplicates delete the one that isn't required.
11. Once you have made your changes click "Save Zone File" at the very bottom of the page.
12. Allow for 24 hours for the changes to take effect.
13. You can now use this domain with your port to connect to you Minecraft server e.g. mc.servername.com:1234
Best and easiest way to setup a domain is via a Dedicated IP.
