Hello fellow users of MC-M!

Recently, I've been on a vacation at the seaside, which put out this problem that I will speak about. I think that I have some kind of problems/issues with my battery/ battery life because I never used to charge my phone twice a day, but in this vacation, I've done it sometimes.

Now, I might say that it was from the high temperature, which was about 30*C-35*C, or maybe, I don't have some tweak at my phone, no idea. You guys should tell me what did you do to improve your battery overall. Oh, I forgot to mention that I have an iPhone 8 Plus, and the battery health at the moment I'm writing this is at 90%.

I will answer questions if there are any, but please help me.

If an answer will significantly help me from here, I'll even tip with BTC.
So it's a win-win situation.

And before you tell me stuff like disable notifications, disable auto-brightness (or enable?, my phone is charging so I cannot see how it should be), I think I've already done every of that thing, but you can still come up with things like those.

Thank you and have a nice day!

I’ve had my iPhone 8 for a year and I’ve noticed the battery life has been getting lower and lower as well as performance and the overall speed of the device. Not really sure what to suggest other than bring a portable charger.

What's your Battery Health percentage at this moment?

There are only tips
1) like not charging your battery every time under 40% etc and more
2) turn off background applications etc

Go into the battery settings and see exactly what is using the most battery and remove it. Do basically everything you said you already did and what I found that helped the most was to turn off notifications on all apps and disable gps. Another thing that might of helped was to disable email updating in the background. Oh and discord uses a lot of power surprisingly

To be honest, I use Instagram mainly. That's the thing that may be draining my battery, but I cannot remove it haha. I disabled notifications for the apps that I don't need, disabled the mail updating too, and I turned off notifications for discord aswell. I thought about making a hard reset with a combination of volume up, down and middle button.

There are only tips

2) turn off background applications etc

What do you mean with the first tip? Every time I come home I have like 10% battery, so I need to charge it then.

The battery on my moms phone was doing the same thing and she took it to an apple store and the dumb employee said to reset the phone. It did literally nothing.
no way really? I would go to the manager and say him like wtf this dude is doing here ....

TL;DR - Buy AppleCare+, it's worth it; Don't leave it out in scorching heat; take it to the store; use Low Power Mode; upgrade, etc.

The battery is made to get FUCKING ass by apple, so that you need to buy a newer phone
Okay, so, people such as this idiot have no idea what they're talking about. As a former Genius at Apple, you don't have to do much. Yes, Apple's had battery issues for a while now. If you have AppleCare+ ($5/mo), not only do you get free water/damage replacements, but free battery and software replacements as well. Taking it to a store will help solve the issue. In the meantime, turn on Low Power Mode and keep it running, and try to limit the usage of apps that take up a bunch of battery (games, etc.).

Despite popular belief, closing background applications actually doesn't save battery. When you leave an app "running" in the background, it isn't actually running, and therefore doesn't drain the battery. It's a good habit to do anyways, though. Leaving your phone in hot temperatures (especially 95ºF and up) can be dangerous to the phone and its battery, so don't do that either.

I don’t think I can buy the AppleCare+ because I am from Romania, Europe and we don’t have an official Apple store, but we do have official Apple resellers, I guess.

There's an Apple Store in Bucharest, I'm pretty sure. I went there on my trip a few years back.

My iPhone 7 has a better battery life because I kept the battery between 20%-80% at all times. Charging it to 100% or letting it drain all the way to 0% isn't good for battery life. Otherwise just watch what apps you use take up a crap ton of battery, low power mode all the time and low brightness.

Low Power Mode all the time, doesn’t really hurt.
I haven’t used an iPhone for a while, last time I used one was when iPhone 6 was released, maybe things have changed, but that’s my tip.
