Dongles and wireless headphone solutions also are somewhat expensive if you want a decent pair. I don't want to buy galaxy buds for $129 or AirPods for $150 or something like PowerBeats for $100 or the pro version of them for even more. Also I like wired stuff because when I'm say riding my bike there'll be no chance that they would fall out
There are a lot of budget options starting as low as $20. Are they good? Not really, I too would prefer to invest in a name brand for headphones. As far as biking, or let's say sports, there are less wired (2 buds connected by a wire and Bluetooth) options which allow for more movement then wired options. I personally use a pair of bose soundsports and they definitely have yet to fall out after a year of gym going with at least an hour of running 5 out of 7 days of the week. Something like airpods, I've used the Samsung equivalent with wires, are a valid point and I've read about plenty of people that are buying one bud as I assume they lost the other. If you know you're going to be biking or doing sports then airpods aren't a good match for that person's lifestyle. Valid points but I still consider the step away from a headphone jack a step forward for either Apple or Android.

I'm saying AirPods because they're the most common out of the bunch. Anyways you should link me some of them, I know the regular powerbeats are wireless with a wire between, but I really don't wanna spend $100 or something like that because I'd just get something better

I use Android cuz I can't stand a company selling a monitor stand for $1k and selling $3k MacBooks that can't even run minecraft. IPhones are overpriced and they're made so older phones get software updates that slow them down (Apple admited to it) and the parts are made so its hard to repair and they battle agaisnt people who repair it for cheaper. If you like Apple go ahead but I like Android in general.

I am tired of Android devices. The phone's performance dramatically decreases after 1 year and they are never usable after 3 years of usage. I am not going to get myself frustrated just to save a couple of bucks. I'll go with an iPhone next time.

you mean IOS or android.. lol
Secure = IOS
Unsecure / ROOT etc= Android
No? He's not talking about the operating system, dummy. He's talking about the phones - do you like iPhones or Android phones better? There's more to a phone than an OS.

With iphones you either deal with no updates or slow down. Atleast with android once it starts getting slow i can reset the device and have it run well on the latest version.

ight listen

Apple = High Tier Android (i.e Galaxy S9/S10)
Apple > Low Tier / Medium Android

Apple would be better unless it's a good Android and not some Galaxy J7 Star bullshit

So get a screen protector and case..?
IF you drop your phones! I despise screen protectors. They ruin the entire experience for me. I want to avoid cases, but I at least need a thin one to protect against bumps and scratches. Otherwise I find myself babying the phone and not using it as a tool.

I don't use it either, I have AppleCare+. It's just a solution for those that need it.

I have been a long-time Android user, currently android is my preferred MOS (Mobile Operating System).

The reasons why?:
  • I am not locked down in an ecosystem (they do exist on Samsung and other vendors, but not as heavily as Apple)
  • Has a lot of customisation options
  • I can program my own apps without having to learn a new programming language
  • Security/Bug fixes etc are updated fast (this is because its open-sourced, though many OEMs will tend to edit the source of android, Samsung are quite notable for this what of course cause update delays)
  • Generally, you get more value for your money
  • More innovative phones are seen using Android (this has become the main factor for me using Android too)
  • Easier to repair should issue arise such as a cracked screen (something that Apple doesn't want users doing to their phones)
That's a couple of reasons, though, with everything, it's not the perfect thing.

Android fails to have a good ecosystem where we can seamlessly use devices, this is where Apple excels with their devices. Another one is the ease of changing phones, give or take its a mixed bag for android, let's say if I am upgrading from my S9 to an S10 then it would be pretty seamless since Samsung provides you with the software to do so though if it was with another device then there could be a few hiccups here and there.

In my eyes, both are good for different reasons, myself as a developer I lean towards android for the reasons mentioned above.

No updates? I have had my Galaxy s8 for more than 2 years and I can only recall 2 updates and one of them was OneUI. On the other hand, I bought a new iPad Pro a few months ago and have received software updates weekly, this is the same with iPhones. I don't know what you're talking about.

Why would I want to reset my phone? I want to keep all my stuff and keep it running smooth. I have seen many of my friends, even my mom, they have had their iPhones for more than 3 years and it runs smoothly. Plus, iOS is a lot more optimized. Android phones do run faster than iOS, but only for a few months - so all those youtube comparisons are not worth it. I am not going to deal with this hassle anymore.
