IRL opinion/advice from experienced people.

So let's start this thread off with some replies I KNOW will be down there, but I'll be ignoring:

"Why would you ask for IRL advice on a block-game forum?"

I want IRL advice from experienced developers, whether web developers, plugin developers, as long as you're a developer, you're welcome to reply to my thread.

So the question is:

What can be learnt in 6 years, will be of high demand in the near-future, able to get me a decent job at a decent company, and is very respectable?

If you guys didn't understand the question, basically, I have the next 6 years of my life to become fluent at a development language / field. (Website Development, Java, Python, Anything). Which won't get outdated and old in the near-future, and can get me a well-paying job.

Well in 6 years you can learn quite a lot. I know Java Developers irl that make 6 figures. Don't go with web development because eventually it will become obsolete and Python is too basic and not used in the professional world.

What country are you from & How old are you? If you already done your exams what exams did you do and what grade did you get? I wouldn't recommend doing stuff related to programming if you never even studied anything related to it (E.g Computing, Computer Science, ICT and or A-Level Maths) since employees will only take you on if you have a qualification in above or degree (But you can't do a degree without doing one of the subjects above - At least in the UK.).
