Says it all in the title, is it still worth it to make plugins for minecraft anymore. If not what else is there to do?
By website development do you mean like from pure html and stuff and making websites for people or just setting them up and managing them for people?I think website development? Discord bot development? Coding MC plugins is profitable if you mass sell it for cheap and it gets popular. It's doable, but not likely.
You can do both. I know a few website developers who don't actually code the site, they set it up with xenforo or something like that (a website software). You can also be a front-end or back-end developer who actually codes by hand. Both are possibleBy website development do you mean like from pure HTML and stuff and making websites for people or just setting them up and managing them for people?
Would it be possible for someone to do it at a young age and make a profit? I am quite young but I really enjoy programming and stuff and I know a little web development already and I know java and python. Would it be possible for me to do it and are there like communities for it or do I have to start from scratch? You can do both. I'm sure there are communities for this and it surely is possible at a young age. I'm currently working on a community myself (can go more in-depth in discord DM's if you'd like) and I'm just 16 years old. About getting started, I suggest purchasing a website and experimenting with it using softwares or your own coding and uploading filesWould it be possible for someone to do it at a young age and make a profit? Selling individual plugins as commissions is not as profitable from my point of view, you're better off releasing a plugin which has a lot of success (a lot of purchases) or working directly for a server.
Thank you. This is super helpful. I just want a way as a young kid to be able to use my skills to make money. Good luck with your communityOf course. I understand your stand as well since I'm doing the same. I wish you the best of luck
Website development will still be profitable for a few decades. I would recommend learning HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript and then moving on to other key elements such as php, phyton, mySQL, jQuery, bootstrap, wordpress etc.Says it all in the title, is it still worth it to make plugins for minecraft anymore. Sorry for all of these questions but I just want to ask 1 more thing. Where would I go to find people looking for that type of stuff? Where is a good place to get requests and jobs because I am only 13 so I really can't apply for a job yet...Website development will still be profitable for a few decades. At least then you will have enough knowledge to make a damn good livingand those are relativly easy languages and easy to overcome with time. Sorry for my poor english, I'm from Norway xP
There are multiple ways to find “jobs”. For example you can create an “Offering” thread in the Web Design and Development Section. You can also search for discords that offer job listings (allthough on such discords - not related to MC - it will be harder as the task tend to be more difficult. Furthermore you should get a portfolio (your own website that displays the work you have create for you/others) of your work. This work can contain: your own first professional website or you can offer for example a free xenfore/basic website setup (1 page with decent design or a few more with like pure standard design) for a vouch. Through a good looking portfolio and vouches people will tend to buy from you although you have to take the initiative in the beginning.Sorry for all of these questions but I just want to ask 1 more thing.
