I havent played factions since like 2016. I was wondering if its still a popular gamemode, and if its still a smart investment in potentially making a server out of?
Unless you wanna do payouts 5man and 3 day maps then go for it and yes it’s way more toxic which turns away newer players from playingFactions has fallen off;
Right now the reason it's still alive is for the payouts on weekly basis; it's a lot more fast paced then it was back then.
To me it's not really worth the time anymore, it's a lot more toxic then it was back in the 16 days.
I have one, the most common players that come on are toxic comp players that don’t like the concept of Og while some players stay but not enough to maintain a server compitionFactions is seen as pretty boring to the usual player in my opinion. I have been waiting to see an OG faction server release though..![]()
It is currently not as popular as it used to be, but with innovation it can yield a lot of $.I havent played factions since like 2016. I was wondering if its still a popular gamemode, and if its still a smart investment in potentially making a server out of?
Ive always had a lot of fun playing it and still do!I havent played factions since like 2016. I was wondering if its still a popular gamemode, and if its still a smart investment in potentially making a server out of?
That is a 100% true, i do own a OG faction server and most of the players are older comp players that don't want to play without printer or op cannons etc 3-day mapsI have yet to see someone try to successfully bring back the old feel of casual OG factions and honestly don't think it would ever be like it used to. For me personally the evolved factions style is just way too over complicated and confusing for me and not even enjoyable its just a competition to getting money at least that's how I see it.
One of the biggest issues out there is having a server jar that is optimized for cannoning at a high mc version that cost too much to make and very little developers out there know how to do it.To put it simply, no. Factions has failed to adapt to the evolving environment of Minecraft, therefore, has fallen off in popularity.
