Is Google Pay a good PayPal alternative? (read for more info.)

I understand that PayPal is 100x better in the business department, but what about Google Pay? I am under 18, so my PayPal is pretty much unusable now for accepting payments, but I want to be able to sell things to people without PayPal. Since Google Pay allows people to send and receive money, I don't think it would be that bad. Otherwise, what would you guys suggest us that are under 18 use for sending and receiving payments?

Honestly, CashApp is pretty good. I just downloaded and liking the feel. You dont have to link your bank either

The only thing about CashApp is that they are also 18+. It seems like Google doesn't have a set restriction. You also don't need to link a bank with Google Pay either, at least I don't think so.

For cashapp, lie about your age. Then u can use it normally to send/recieve money. You don't need a bank linked unless you want to withdraw or deposit

I want to be honest though. If I link an actual credit card that I use and that has my details on it, I don't want anything to be tracked back to me and I were to get in some real legal trouble. Plus, Google Pay is accepted in a lot more places than CashApp (to my knowledge.)

I've seen these threads a lot over the years, and always laugh because I've been using PayPal without any issues for the past several years and am still under 18. It's not hard, you can get a bank account under 18.

PayPal sends out a test payment to verify your above 18, lol.

That is why I think that Google Pay is the best options at the moment, just because of the sheer fact of they don't have a definitive age restriction. I also think that you can transfer money from your Google Pay balance to a debit card.

oo interesting. The only issue I see that that a ridiculous amount of people on here and the internet in general use only PayPal so it'll be tricky dealing with most.

Like I said previously, I don't expect this to be used for resource purchases, but I do think it will rise in popularity for peer to peer purchases or services.
