I realize the smart thing would be to go out and work at your local grocery store, or restaurant, but what if someone where to work off of mc-market? Do you think it's possible for someone to afford their car insurance every month?
I'll be driving a Toyota Tacoma, the insurance is around $200ish from past experience I have been able to make that on mc-market, what do you guys think? Quit my day job, work for the forums?

No. Things can always go south. Make MCM you're backup.

Anything can go "south" (even losing a job if you happens to have one to an extent). However you can better the chances of ensuring your kept "afloat" with things like being dedicated to your customers, choosing appropriate supplier(s) and eventually staffs once you get that point, and even adding value to your services/products. The real "killer" though is the good "old" long wait to gain reputation and being recognized to the appropriate audience

Generally there are two ways that you approach it
1. Wait it out and be dedicated in the community whenever possible
Or
2. You could get yourself money elsewhere (like getting a job) THEN once the time is right you can kick the job to the curb once your establishment is "hauling in" and remaining at a stable state.

The thing about working off of MCM (or any other online market) is it isn't reliable. It could go through something atrocious and you won't have any business left. It's also completely dependent on the clients and how many decide to choose you for their needs, while working at an actual job is much more dependable as long as you put the effort in.

Why not do both?

Well, I'd keep your job. Once you are paying car insurance plus gas, it'll be easy for the IRS to track you down and send you to jail for avoiding theft Kappa
Look how old the the thread is.. Nub
