I've joined not too long ago but already marked this website as a no thanks for trading.
  • There are way too many unsolved scam reports, leaving potential scammers free to scam even more people

  • There are barely any reputable traders

  • Market is flooded with stolen accounts

  • A lot of users are minors and/or immature
What is your take on this, and do you feel comfortable trading on Mc-Market?

Yes, because I know who to trade with. I've only been scammed once, for a $15 loan from MeantToBe

Yes there are a lot of immature children on here and the scam reports are pretty backed up. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any reputable members on this site. There are a lot actually, you just have to do some looking around.[DOUBLEPOST=1556720749][/DOUBLEPOST]Just use caution in all your deals regardless of whether or not they might be reputable. Also, their reputation score means absolutely nothing. It just goes to show they’ve completed however many deals.

To me someone is reputable when they've traded recently, and have a trade value of at least $10,000. This leaves a select few people left on this website to trade comfortably with. These are my standards when trading over $100.0, but of course everybody has different standards, in my case it simply means that I will always need to trade using a Middleman, which won't be easy.

You have some pretty high standards honestly. On top of that as a new member you probably won’t be dictating many deals unless you’re the one conducting it.

If you have such high standards for a minecraft forums then this isn't the place for you.

My advice is look after your own back and trade properly. Depending on what you sell or buy you may want to do research on the client.
Make sure on paypal if you're the seller that you use paypal invoicing and include chat logs/contact details within the invoice details.
I sell graphics and in 2 years of being here I have only had 2 people attempt chargeback, neither have been successful. Everyone else has been fine or an actual pleasure to work with.
But there are arseholes everywhere, its more up to you to make sure you protect yourself no matter where you deal business.

You're on the wrong forum then, most kids here don't have a fraction of that and probably won't for quite some time. Don't be an idiot and you won't get scammed. Simple enough.
