Is it still worth it to make servers in 1.8?

Hey MCM.

I was just wondering if it's worth it to make servers still in 1.8 With 1.17 coming soon, I wasn't (as well as others) sure if players would stay play on 1.8 servers.

What are your thoughts?

*Note: the 1.8 server would have viaversion etc for multiple version support.

dont make a 1.8 server if you want it to last long

They don't last long? I'd make it so versions from 1.7.10-latest version can join and what not.

Oh okay cool. That's what i was originially planning all along. I meant the games on my server are using 1.8 stuff to the latest versions. Thanks.,
