Just wondering if its too saturated with servers these days. Also what would the budget be for covering the cost of developing, hosting, advertising etc.
I miss having my own server, and someday would like to try hosting again

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Blaze.

Confirm on-site, or don't idrc.

There are many factors that go into this, such as if you have prior experience running servers, can get good plugins & developers, what game mode(s) your server will be focusing on, and if you can bring something new to the server scene. (Such as new ideas for such game mode(s).)

Generally, if you know what you're doing and you have the financial stability to make such a risk, then yes, it can be worth it.

I think your starting budget has to be around $500 - $600?

Maybe I'll look for a partner then. Thanks for the answer!

Just make a cool ass server and the people will come. Don't overthink it, if you don't have enough money to purchase custom plugins, there are plenty of public ones out there. Make the best of what you have.

Depending on your budget for this server you would be able to make it actually big. You would have to pay for a trailer to be made and get some unique plugins that not a lot of people use to make your server stand out vs others. I'm willing to talk with you and potentially work on this with you. Hit me up on discord @ Alex.#3798
Your reputation makes me skeptical[DOUBLEPOST=1572730345][/DOUBLEPOST]
Even it is very saturated you can still be able to make progress if you stand out.
I've got a decent and unique idea, maybe I'll look for a plugin developer[DOUBLEPOST=1572730371][/DOUBLEPOST]
Advertising isn’t hard, you just need to know what you’re doing, and know the right people.
Would discord advertisements be smart? And or owning my own discord?
