Is it worth to create a server?

Hello, I am wondering if creating a server and running it would be worth nowadays. What do you guys think? Please comment below on why you decided the choice.

Honestly, it kinda feels like Minecraft is dying..but Hypixel is still at 30k players, so can't say too much.

Nowadays we need originality. If you have an idea of a possibly successful new gamemode then go for it.

It's worth it but you shouldn't make just another server. You need a unique idea and you have to be patient to get good results.

How long do you mean by, patient?

No money, no players these days. Not impossible to grow without money, or a little bit, but chances are super low these days without a pretty big budget.

I'd say you can make any server... but you just need advertisement or a playerbase that is dedicated and will stay.

Well yeah, I was asking if it's worth the money and time to wait for that to happen.

I made a server, 52 uniques in a day, with 10 active players on at most times.

This server was made yesterday, to be completely honest.

I suggest doing cheap ways of advertising, such as, spamming populated servers with the ip.

It worked for me, so, lol.

Did this really work? for the most part I haven't seen people joining these spammed servers.

If you have a good budget, know how to do things and will have an idea either mainstream or original, go for it! Regardless, you'll get experience and have fun while doing it.
