Is Microsoft killing Minecraft?

I know this is talked about a lot, but do you think Microsoft is killing off Minecraft? Or at least, the original edition. It's been renamed, the other editions have got more commercial (Minecraft coins) and it seems as if a lot of OG players are leaving MC.

FlareMC still absolutely loves Minecraft, and so do all our staff! We think it's creative and fun, but at the same time, is it approaching its end?

Here's my 2 cents: The marketplace is a good way to encourage legitimate monetization of content. Considering the amount of top-quality content that was made just for the java edition, an enormous amount will be made available, all high quality.

People might say this is like the paid mods thing that bethesda tried, but I disagree. Minecraft has long since been using community content as its own. Half the major updates were either ripped almost directly from, or heavily inspired by, community-made mods.
What mojang is doing now is offering creators a chance to get credited AND paid for their contribution to the official game's content.
I don't see it as microtransactions, not the way EA and Ubisoft etc like to do them
I see the minecraft maps currently in the marketplace as a form of community-made DLC, extending the amount of time you can play the game you bought for $30. And how much are these? I doubt many maps cost more than $5 equivalent, yet judging from what I've seen so far most of them add 10+ hours of gameplay. As long as Mojang keeps up that standard, I'll be fine with it.

Though I would like to see 2 things in the nearby future.
1. is the creation of an effective and stable conversion tool between Bedrock and Java edition. A lot of tools exist, but few of them are in any way reliable
2. one of 2 things:
Either the return of allowing paid content/ranks on servers again (within limits), on the condition that the server owners register a company and become partners the same way Marketplace providers (and thus also sharing a portion of the profits with microsoft)
or make the source code of Java edition open source, allowing anyone to modify it and use for their own projects. And to also allow the monetization of content, provided its not the reselling of anything that contains the source code (the source code should remain free to use, modified or not).

The latter should not take place until after bedrock has been fully established and running for a while.

PS: yes, I'm aware the marketplace is also a cash-grabbing scheme by microsoft. But for the opportunities it offers, I don't really think I care.

Fun fact: Eula-changes were implemented BEFORE microsoft bought MC.
The whole bedrock edition + marketplace is the first thing we've seen changed about the game that mojang would not have done themselves without being owned by microsoft. So unless that is what you're talking about, it's not microsoft that's doing the ruining.

Which 'many others'? I've yet to see anyone say "hey, that's a cool font.
The reason it irritates so many is because it's a serif font (the little thingies that stick out at the bottom and top of letters). These were designed for print. However, they do not work too well on screens, where sans-serif fonts are preferred.
