For me, Minecraft is the only game I have played for more than a couple calendar weeks or more than 100 hours (whichever happens first). I just get bored of games or feel like I'm wasting time and should be doing something else. Minecraft for some reason is something I just keep comign back to, even if I don't play for weeks or months at a time.

But if you're looking at statistics Minecraft is by far the most stable game holding a massive amount of players, if you look over game statistics that you can find on google you'll see that Minecraft holds steady compared to lots of other games, including big names like Fortnite. Very interesting thread and look forward to reading the replies.

It's certainly one of the best games of all time to promote creative process and creative projects.

Personally, Minecraft is the only game I can play all day without stopping. I have more than 1,100 hours of CS:GO which is a pretty nice game, but playing more than 2 competitive matches is really frustrating. On the other hand, playing Minecraft can make me rage quit (SkyWars, BedWars, etc.) but I can always go in Singleplayer and play normally.

You just have so many things to do, and I never feel like I beat the game. Sometimes when I start a new world it's much different than the previous one, it just has something with it.

But, you can't objectively give an answer here, for some people League of Legends or Dota 2 can be the best games of all time, someone can say it's CS:GO or even Call of Duty. It's preference.

I think not anymore. It might have been but not in the present as there are new more interesting games.
