Has minecraft really got better than it was? Are the core concepts of the game still mining and crafting? How far can the game really go in development? I'd like to hear peoples thoughts on these.

Nothing overly political, I'd just like to hear some opinions :)

I’d say no, there’s still a solid community in both old and especially new game modes. The whole idea of Minecraft was that there’s infinite possibilities so

The game is still evolving and growing, many awesome features were added in recent years. It's just that many servers (e.g. PvP) are still staying in 1.8 and it's still one of the most popular Minecraft versions. The game hasn't changed much in terms of the theme - it's still creating or building what you want in a world. Minecraft never died. ;)

Hello, I think that minecraft has had a period of decline in recent years (especially at the release of Fortnite), many youtubers would have stopped bringing minecraft videos on youtube, but it would seem that it is back stronger and with a fantastic community, many new youtubers have resumed minecraft and new youtubers / streamers were born as well. Especially thanks to active new developments and new versions. The bases seem to remain the old ones of the previous versions as it only has a "final boss" it would be nicer if they made new updates with the addition of new difficulties and bosses / dimensions. (in my opinion)

Compared to last year, a very slight bit. But once 1.17 releases, it’ll return to its roots again. A lot of the post 1.13 updates have been excellent.

MC will never die. The community is just too large in my opinion, especially because of the rise of more MC YouTubers in recent years.

Yeah, I definitely agree that Minecraft is not dying! I think someone could think that a couple years ago, but the game has for sure come back into the spotlight after some time, and there is still a large playerbase.

I would not say it's dying. I would definitely say less popular, definitely not dying though.
