Hey y'all,

I just wanted to ask the community on what they think hytale and how you feel about.

Personally, I feel like it might bring back inner joy from playing Minecraft when I was younger. It might create new opportunities.

Thoughts?

This is my personally view on it. Hytale already has a lot of hype around it and it will be big for a short duration of time, nothing as long as Minecraft was. The reason is because Minecraft brought sandbox games out of the shadows and really threw so many different experiences at you. The community is what matters most and frankly a majority of it has moved on from the sandbox/blocky world (maybe it is just me). There could be a new generation of kids who start what we had with Minecraft but that is not quite likely. If you look at how kids play games these days, they jump on a bandwagon, buy a bunch of cosmetics, and move on to the next fad. But who knows what happens, maybe some new gamemodes and ideas can be created from Hypixel and can create new communities comparably to the HCF, SOUP, etc.

Minecraft’s dead and Hytale isn’t going to succeed, it’s simple.

I really don't appreciate all these people hopping on the bandwagon of "Minecraft is Dead". No it isn't, nobody has basis to say that at all. I personally believe Hytale will be another Fortnite. At first the hype will prevail over all other games in it's class, but after a few months it will die back down to it's real size. I really don't think Hytale is anything special, and Minecraft's legacy can NEVER be undone.

Minecraft is not dead, sure its not at its peak but that doesn't mean it's dead. It's still averaging 91 million users per month on all platforms, how do you call a game with those numbers "dead"?

Just because you dont enjoy the game anymore, doesnt mean that the game is dead.

I found a video made by a youtuber called "Sir Swag" that rants on people who say games are dying. Search it up and give it a watch

If you're referring to the version that we all play - Java Edition - it's been dead. The only reason why Minecraft as a game isn't dead is because Bedrock exists, an entirely different version of the game.

It’s just the mindset that the community have. The game is not dead, it’s just that we all grow up...

Fortnite completely dominated last year and is still dominating with being up for a year. Fortnite is not a good comparison if you're talking about short hype.

Let me just quickly share my thoughts on the matter:

Hytale has a lot of hype surrounding as it's implementing basically all the features people in minecraft have been looking for. Either minor alterations to the pvp mechanics, more things to explore or just more detailed and certain things like villagers worked out in more detail. I'm 100% sure when Hytale launches a lot of minecraft's players will end up playing it for at least a while, but I feel like just with most modded minecraft gameplay it will get too much after a while and players will come back to minecraft to enjoy the simplicity.

Of course this is just base off of the information already available, but I'm sure once they release more on the matter it will become more clear on how much or in what way this "new game" will influence the current mc community. There's so much more to it but it's just too much to all mention in a small forums post in my opinion.
