What is this name even supposed to be? some local culture's version of Santa Claus? (papai noel = father christmas?)

Heck, I could probably hardly sell "Sinterklaas" as semi-og, despite being a reasonably well-known version of santa claus (the OG version of the red/white clothed old guy giving out presents).
