Is the "Steam Controller" really worth it?

Hey, I was gonna buy a Steam Controller but then I had second thoughts. The price of it where I was gonna buy it is 54.99 Euro which is 46.15 GBP and 61.25 USD.

I have a 20 Euro voucher for the place, so it would really cost 34.99.

I have Rocket League, it's really hard to play with a mouse and keyboard for me.

I am gonna branch out to other games in the future though.

So, I want to know other peoples opinion on the Steam Controller.

Bear in mind I haven't used it nor purchased one, but it has a really unique style to the button layout. But I can see it being very comfortable and to reach the buttons you're going to have very long fingers if you want to get comfortable.

Is the reason you haven't purchased it because you think it's overpriced?

Get a SCUF controller, at first I was hesitant about buying one for such an expensive price. Yet I soon found that it actually does make me a better player. It's customizable and fun to use.
