High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

It's not bad, but it's not too fast at 2.66GHz for Minecraft. How much does it cost, because I could probably find something better for the same price :)

For $30/month, that's a pretty good deal :) Go for it

Its alright, I wouldn't say its "good" though. CPU was made 7 years ago, and the GHz is a bit low. 146GB SAS isn't really to good either, and is only a little faster than a HDD, and very poor capacity.

Whats the DDoS protection like?

Those specs and that amount of protection, I would guess is one of Ian.D's?

40Gbps is what id class as a minimum. Its enough to hold of all booters, and people with an actual botnet likely wont bother with a MC server. So its okay.

I'm not sure it would manage 200 players that well, since Minecraft is heavily single threaded. Personally id go for an E3. They are quite cheap, and powerful. Though I'm guessing if you have picked a $30 dedi to ask about the chances are you don't have a great deal of money. So the likelihood of you spending hundreds to get a playerbase of that size is quite slim. So you'll be okay with it.

If your server does really well, you can then upgrade to something more beefy later on.

I can afford a dedi. Yes ian is the host. This is for a side server ( part of my network ) it wont have as much traffic as the main on reset. However it will be a decent amount of players ( 75+ ) and it is survival so it is a lot of world loading. So i will have to get a better processor.

If you've got a lot of players loading chunks then yes a good processor is needed, but additionally a SSD might be required for it to run as smooth as possible.

Contact Ian.D before ordering, from what I hear if you ask he will swap out the HDD for an SSD. Since that would be better, but other than that you should be okay.

Just gonna throw it out there, I don't remember if we host your network or not but not only do you need to concern yourself with machine specs but as well as the network. Since you have another server (not sure if its with us) I advise that if you get any more machines they are within the same network for lower latency between your proxy and the other servers.
