Is this resource loophole against the rules?

Okay so, because of the file limits on resources I can't upload some of my larger maps to sell (nor on sites like selly).

I know that we can't sell a product if all it contains is a file with a link to the download, but what if the resource is LISTED as a link to the download.

I was told we can't sell files with links to 3rd party downloads because it's not the actual resource that they get, but if it's listed as a download link they're getting exactly what they pay for right?


Example:

"100x100 Spawn" is listed, but the download is only a file with a link to a download, so they are not getting a 100x100 spawn and therefore this violates the rules as they're incorrectly describing it.

"Download link to 100x100 Spawn", is listed, and it contains a file with a link to a spawn, and therefore it's perfectly described and subsequently does not violate the rules.

I'd personally make it a digital-code which could be entered in order to download the said world

I would stay away from download links otherwise people will share the link. But you could be able to get away with giving a code to someone where they can input it on to your site to download

I don't think it'd be allowed
- No moderation should the contents of the download link change
- Links can die; people can pay for something but only get a dead link
- You said yourself it is a loophole. Now remember this is MCM where they punish for things that aren't even remotely in the rules. Now that you have remembered that, you now know this is likely against the rules too.
