I didn't say it was crap or anything, it is not. I like it, it just needs more detail, and people sell really really high quality ones for around $1.50.

Even though it's not great, and you definitely could use more practice and some potential inspiration from other designers (and their designs), I would not sell yourself short. As a rule of thumb, don't sell anything for less than $1, there's literally no point. You might as well make it for free.

Also, value your time and effort based on how much YOU would pay for it. People love undervaluing things on this website. There are too many people offering graphics for $3, which makes the overall price for each product on here go way down.

I personally wouldn't pay for that banner, at all. But if you made it less stiff (colors really don't flow together very well), a bit less busy (too much going on), and improved the fonts as well as the quality, I would probably consider it for a couple of bucks.
